DAVID BASSE
One of Kansas City’s best known performers, David Basse has had the exceptional honor of recording with Sandra Booker, Larry Bunker, Jay McShann, Bobby Watson, and Phil Woods. He produced an album with pianist Mike Melvoin that was Gram- my-nominated in 2004.
With several albums to his credit and an award-winning career in ra- dio, David’s warm and inviting voice
draws listeners into the world of jazz and blues. His City Light Orchestra received the International Jazz Hall of Fame award from the Charlie Parker Memorial Foundation. He participated in special performances in Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, New York City, and in 2018, at theKau man Center with the KansasCity Symphony.
